Thoughts for the Day
Before we come to Jesus and surrender to Him, we are flying blind. The Bible entrusted to the Church of Jesus Christ gives us a path to follow. If we keep on the path the signal from Jesus, Righteousness, comes through loudly and clearly. If we fail and turn our eyes to ourselves the path is lost. We are in great danger of losing our contact with Jesus. Where do we go from there, into despair? Keep asking yourself, “Am I on Jesus’ path?”
Always be expectant. We must always expect Jesus to do exactly what He says He will do. He has more for you than you could ever know. Do you want to be happy all the days of your life? Look to Jesus daily and beyond. He gives peace and joy continually. Trust Him today and for eternity. He will make you joyful with all the gifts of this day and the sure promise of eternity. A life lived in Him is growing and expanding with ever-widening horizons, an ever-growing circle of friends, and a greater opportunity to be useful for His kingdom. Trust Him!
Ephesians 2.4-8 (NIV) “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—.”
Jesus, I wait with anticipation and faith for the next God-thing in my life. Keep my heart close to Yours. I never want to stray from You. I will speak the name, Jesus, multiple times each day. This way I am thinking of You and not myself. You have been so kind to me. Continue that Kindness tomorrow and into eternity.
